Save money on custom metal parts without sacrificing quality when you choose deep draw hydroforming from Stuecklen Manufacturing Company. After seven decades of metal spinning experience, we know how to pair the right materials with the best metal forming technologies to get you the parts you need with the specifications you want.

We invite you to learn more about the benefits of deep draw hydroforming for your industry, hobby, or business.

What Is Deep Draw Hydroforming?

Deep draw hydroforming produces deep metal parts, like tanks and pots, with a blank, draw ring, and punch. Tooling in your desired shape presses the metal blank into a hydraulic chamber. Pressurized liquid on the other side of a rubber diaphragm forces the metal blank around your tooling, which results in a final shape without wrinkling, stressing, or weakening the metal.

Deep Draw Hydroforming Vs. Traditional Deep Draw

Traditional deep drawing techniques require a blank, blank holder, punch, and die. The action of the punch and die work together to produce your final part. Unfortunately, this means extra tooling costs and frequent replacements as metal meets metal time after time. With deep draw sheet hydroforming, the pressurized rubber diaphragm acts as a universal female die – reducing your initial tooling costs and the wear and tear on your punch.

Affordable, Precise Metal Forming

In addition to needing fewer parts to get started (often decreasing tooling costs by 50-90%), we can use the male portion of your existing tooling. If you’re starting out fresh with a new design or prototype, we can help with custom metal tooling design, material choice, and make sure that hydroform deep draws are the right technology for your project.
